Deer-Resistant
Deer in Wayzata, Chanhassen, Excelsior, and the western Twin Cities exurbs will eat arborvitae down to a stick-figure skeleton and every hosta to the ground. These plants they usually walk past: Ninebark, Russian Sage, Karl Foerster grass, Potentilla, and more. Deer will browse anything during severe winters, but this collection is the baseline of what survives typical deer pressure without fencing or spray.
